Nothing serious, just feeling a little mortal these days.

In the list of hair colours Natasha has had, blond is one of her least favourites. It’s brash, and she does not understand the American expression that ‘blonds have more fun’, she feels like an alien. In her downtime between playing a blond socialite and the next mission with Clint she carefully dyes it back to her natural hair colour.

She feels more human, and warms up to Clint’s teasing, he almost earns a smile.

The file is slid under her door at 4am, she appreciates it, with her insomnia it gives her a little bedtime reading. She notices Clint’s name beside her name and her lips quirk up in approval, he will not slow her down. At a glance the mission is simple, surveillance and extraction of the ‘super soldier’ drugs.

Their mission are never that simple.

She gets up and throws on sweatpants and a cardigan over the t-shirt she sleeps in and slips down the corridor to knock on Clint’s door.
